Marijke du Toit

I am currently engaged in extensive archival research on the broad history of state social welfare and of the child welfare movement in South Africa from the late 1930s and as reconfigured and elaborated during apartheid. This archival research project is complemented by my interest in visual and also multi-lingual approaches to qualitative research.
